Experience
Keith has studied music from the age of five on, beginning on the piano, then trombone, then guitar, electric bass, and double bass. He majored in music performance at the prestigious music school of Indiana University, studying with renowned bassist Bruce Bransby. He later attended the University of South Carolina where he received a degree in music theory and composition.
As a performer and songwriter, Keith has played guitar and electric bass in numerous bands, recorded a solo CD in 2001, and currently is the lead singer, guitarist, and songwriter for The Wind-Ups, and does various freelance gigs on the guitar and the bass. He has played in everything from classical symphony orchestras to church praise bands to an Elvis tribute band.
For the last four years, in addition to being a guitar teacher, Keith was the Orchestra and Praise Band Director for Brushy Creek Baptist Church, directing two adult praise bands, co-directing two youth bands, and leading a twenty person orchestra.
